Dashboard design is one of the most challenging areas of UI/UX. You need to present complex data in a way that is immediately understandable and actionable.

Dashboard design principles:
- Start with the most important metrics at the top
- Use the right chart type for each data story
- Limit the number of widgets to avoid information overload
- Provide filters and date ranges for data exploration
- Use color purposefully to highlight trends and anomalies

Chart selection guide:
- Line charts: Trends over time
