Frontend Developer Portfolio - Need Feedback on Project Selection - Admin - 10-11-2025

Hello everyone! I'm updating my portfolio and need advice on which projects to showcase. I have 8 projects but can only realistically feature 4-5. Should I focus on showing variety (React, Vue, vanilla JS) or depth in one framework? Also, is it better to have fewer polished projects or more projects with basic functionality? Would appreciate any feedback from those who've successfully landed frontend roles!

Great question! I'd recommend focusing on quality over quantity. Pick 4-5 projects that show depth and variety. Include at least one React project since it's highly in demand, but also add a vanilla JS project to show you understand core fundamentals without relying on frameworks. Make sure each project is well-polished with clean code, responsive design, and good documentation. Recruiters prefer fewer impressive projects over many basic ones. Also consider adding a full-stack project if possible to show you can work across the entire stack. Good luck with your portfolio update!
