If you feel a paper was under-marked, Anna University lets you apply for a photocopy of your answer script and then revaluation. Here is how the process works and how to decide whether it's worth it.
Photocopy first, then revaluation
The usual sequence is: apply for the photocopy of your valued answer sheet, review it against the scheme, and only then apply for revaluation if you see marks that were missed or wrongly totalled. Applying blindly wastes the fee.
How to apply
- Log in to the COE portal within the announced window (usually a few days after results).
- Select the paper(s), pay the per-paper fee online.
- For photocopy: download and check it. For revaluation: submit the request.

Timeline & outcome
Revaluation results are typically released a few weeks after the window closes. Your mark can go up, down, or stay the same — revaluation is a genuine re-check, not a guaranteed increase. It is most worth it when you are close to a grade boundary or a pass mark.
